Background: A Pegasus and a Unicorn had fallen in love and married. For so long they tried to have a baby of their own, but never could. The unicorn mother was told that she could not produce offspring, but she refused to believe it. Still the couple kept trying, and finally they got lucky, but with a twist. After the birth, the mother turned to find that she had given birth to a Alicorn. A creation of royalty, and then she was worried that she would lose one and only child. As the colt grew, his magic ability surpassed the unicorns as expected and he flew with a natural grace. But when the time came for Dark Titanium to be taken and training for a throne of his own, the stallion refused. He pledged to help that he met that needed it, but he wouldn't sit on a thrown all day and do nothing. It was discovered that Titan's talent was precious minerals, and the first thing he did was bring his mother a gift of gold. It was a thank you for raising him so well, providing with beliefs and the ability to help others. His mother was fine with him refusing a throne and instead being himself; adventuring, curious, and exploring. Titan kept his promise, and always helped those in need.

How they met Pixie Star: Titan was out exploring in some caves and stumbled upon some platinum, gold, and silver deposits. His talent was being able to handle precious minerals such as these, along with other things he could do with his magic. Delicately, Titan would remove bits at a time of each mineral gently so he didn't disrupt the balance of the cave tunnel. One he had filled a satchel full, the stallion then left and headed out into the woods to look around and relax. Despite his dark appearance, Dark Titanium was caring, giving, and kind towards others. Lost in thought, and not paying much attention where he was going, he bumped into Pixie Star. Giving her a gentle smile and seeing her cutie mark, the stallion then used his magic and talent to mold a golden star outlined in platinum with a silver ball shaped into a gem in the center. After it was done, he gave it to her and introduced himself properly.
